Just so you know, I think I'm the worst blogger on the block. My goal at Christmas was to post again at Valentine's. Well, here we are on Easter Sunday. And a beautiful Sunday it was! I'm so thankful the kids can tell the story of Jesus through the Resurrection eggs without even looking at them. And I pray it will become heart-knowledge over time as they are learning it in their heads. They are such precious reminders of the simplicity of faith. They just believe it... plain and simple. I love that He was and is and is to come. I'm excited to see what that looks like, what He's like face to face and to live in His glory forever. Thank you Jesus for saving me, for making a place for me with You in eternity.
On to much less important Easter highlights. It's 9:45 and the kids are asleep... probably a sugar-induced sleep. I love chocolate. The kids got so much chocolate - Reese's Peanut Butter Cups(and Hope has peanut allergy-darn-it, I guess we'll have to take care of those for her), all kinds of Hershey eggs, Whoppers, M&Ms. I have the self-restraint of a 3-year-old. If no one was looking, I could eat myself sick on chocolate. I love the little saying that says, "God must have loved calories because He made so many of them." I think in Heaven, there's got to be a chocolate factory where you can eat as much as you want, your rear-end stays the same size and your teeth don't get cavities. I guess, for now, I'll just have to leave the candy jar on the cabinet. Then I'll be giving myself some accountability because my sweet husband can see me across the room. He knows my weakness. That should, in theory, help me to maintain control of said rear-end... that along with a regular Turbo-Kick class (which I also love - it lets me work out my aggression). And I was cavity-free at my last dental appointment.
